Husband wants sex even when I’m seeing my period
Dear Pastor,
I must greet you and your staff, and hope that you are doing very well. I am 26 years old and I am living with my husband.
We got married a year ago and we have both become Christians. My husband is a good man, but when it comes to sex, he is crazy. I have been having a problem with him. I try to meet his needs in every way. He is a businessman, but when it comes to sex, he is never tired. He is 30 years old.
What I am telling you is not something that I can discuss when we have ladies meeting because I do not know who will go out and talk about it. My husband forces me to have sex with him even when I am menstruating. When it first happened, my menstruation was about to end. I told him to give me a few more days, but he said no. So I allowed him to have sex with me. It has happened again a number of times, even when I am having a heavy flow. I consider it very unpleasant, but he does not. He says that we are married people and there is nothing in the Bible that speaks against it.
I don't hold back sex from my husband even when I am very tired. So I told him he should just give my body time to rest while I am seeing my period, but he doesn't care. So I am writing to you for your opinion. Please answer me a soon as you can.

Dear B.C.,
Let me begin by saying that there are many couples who enjoy having sex while the women are menstruating.
In counselling women, over the years, they have told me that they feel highly sexy during their period and they have enjoyed sex. I had a book that was written by a medical doctor. He is a Christian and he declared that if a couple loves to have sex, during that time of the month, there is absolutely nothing wrong. I find it difficult to understand why a man cannot abstain from sexual intercourse while his woman is menstruating. It is for a few days. Why can't a man control himself?
Your husband says that nothing in the Bible is against it. What he did not tell you is that under the ceremonial law, and I must hurry to say, we are not under the ceremonial law, such behaviour was strictly condemned.
" If a man lies with a woman during her menstrual period and uncovers her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from among their people." Leviticus 20:18
I am not saying here that the Bible condemns in our epoch that this condemnation still stands, as we are living in a different dispensation. But I maintain that a man should be able to control himself and allow his woman to go through her menstruation without pressuring her for sex. Try and reason with your husband, but don't fight him if he wants sex while you are seeing your period. The relationship with your husband is precious, so let there be no unnecessary fights.
