Unguided Missile to strike in Reggae 6 opener

START Saturday's Reggae 6 by banking American four-year-old debutante, UNGUIDED MISSILE, who should have no problem beating local-breds, non-winners of two races, at five furlongs straight.

Last Saturday's Derby Day Reggae 6 mandatory payout would have been a stunner had 26-1 shot RADAM escaped disqualification, claiming rider Tyrese Anderson denied back-to-back winners for interference to FIRST OFFENSE, who was awarded the event at odds of 5-1.

The longest shot on the Reggae 6, FIRST OFFENSE resulted in a payout of $98,099. Anderson made amends by landing the eighth event astride MILITARY LIGHT, two winners on the day, bettered by Robert Halledeen sweeping the last three races in combination with champion and leading trainer Jason DaCosta, landing their first Jamaica Derby with I DREAM AGAIN.

UNGUIDED MISSILE reports prepared for battle, tongue-tie fitted and lasix first out with a 1:02.0 gallop from the gate, first two furlongs in 47.4.

Next up is the second event in which BALLISTIC MISSILE should return with more experience after proving a handful for Shane Ellis out the straight previously. However, ROCK-OLA should be carried as back-up, considering back-class.

BLINDING LIGHT and BRISCOE are the horses to be on at five furlongs round in the third, whereas STEIN and BEAUTIFUL MOON must be used in the fourth at five and a half furlongs.

Bank first-timer RUSH OF CLASS in the fifth, having galloped a half-mile in 48.1 from the gate out the mile chute.

Close the Reggae 6 with an open mind, seven selections in a scrappy $200,000 event at five and a half furlongs. Go with LAST HOORAH, XY SOUL, QUANNA, ESUSE ME GOODBY, PIP, NINA DRADA and MR LYNDHURST.
