Two men gunned down in Four Paths, Clarendon
The Clardendon police are probing a double murder in the Agro Park Farms area of Four Paths in Clarendon on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as 24-year-old Patrick 'Rick' Thompson of Rhymesbury, Clarendon, and 28-year-old Janeil 'Squaddy' Callaghan of Bullard Content, York Town, also in the parish.
Police say the men were shot by armed assailants while travelling along a dirt road in the area.
Reports are that about 5:30 p.m., Thompson and Callaghan, who were riding separate motorcycles, had just left a river in the company of two women when they were ambushed by two masked gunmen.
According to investigators, one of the men confronted Thompson and was overheard saying, "A yuh mi come fah."
The gunmen then opened fire on both men, sending them running into a nearby farm. Thompson was chased and shot multiple times in the head and upper body, while Callaghan was struck in the upper body and abdomen.
The women managed to escape without injury.
The cops were summoned to the scene and found the men face down with gunshot wounds. They were rushed to the May Pen Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
