Alleged gangster had relationships with ‘Blackman’ and ‘Livity’
The alleged female Clansman 'gangster pastor' had reportedly boasted that "her ting up like dat" when asked how she had managed to snag two of the country's most notorious men, Andre 'Blackman' Bryan and Leighton 'Livity' Coke.
A former police inspector told the court during the Clansman-One Don Gang trial yesterday that he met the defendant Stephanie Christie, who he identified in court as the 'Great Muma', in September 2017. She had turned up at the Spanish Town Police Station while he was questioning Bryan concerning extortion voice notes and upsurge in murders. The witness said Christie informed him outside of the station that she was Bryan's woman and Coke's babymother.
"Look at you, you have two a di biggest badman dem inna Jamaica, how you manage dat?" the officer recalled asking her. Christie laughed and replied "Mi ting up like dat, enuh, me ting up like dat." The witness said she asked him what she could do to have the 'G' [Bryan] released and offered him $100,000. The witness said he told her "A diss yuh diss mi, enuh, gal."
"You have two a di baddest man dem inna Jamaica and a yuh a look pon me as a police officer and come offer mi $100,000," he recalled saying. In an effort to gain information from her, the witness said he told her that he could not help her. But Christie reportedly said "Tings can happen, ting can happen." According to the witness, she told him to make an offer and he requested two rifles. She reportedly told him "Dat a di least" and assured him that once the 'G' was out, he could get them. The witness said he agreed and she started enquiring about other gangsters who were in custody and how they could be released.
The witness said they spoke for about two hours and exchanged numbers. Before he left, he told her that he was serious about the guns and that he wanted "crissas" [brand new guns]. Christie reportedly threw her hands up in the air and said "Mi swear pon mi pickney life." The officer said when he went back inside, he told Bryan that the only reason he was releasing him was because of his woman. The witness further testified that he would occasionally meet with Christie for information but he realised that she was trying to get information from him. He testified that he only gave her misleading information.
He, however, testified that she had given him information that had led to the recovery of a firearm, but before it was retrieved, he learned that she had also told other cops about the weapon.
The witness said he theorised that she wanted a 'blow and blow' to happen, meaning a shoot-out between the police, which would have happened if the two police teams had gone for the gun.
The trial will continue on Monday.
