Two alleged members of the Clansman-One Don gang had reportedly issued threats against reputed leader Andre 'Blackman' Bryan, saying they were going to cut off his head when he is released from jail.

The revelation was made during one of the secretly recorded conversations with a former gangster and two defendants, St Thomas pastor Stephanie Christie and 'City Puss' in April 2019.

The state witness, who had secretly recorded the gang's conversations, was heard telling Christie and City Puss about the threat that was reportedly made by defendant Michael 'Stennet' Whitely.

"Nuh him did say him ago cut off the man head himself? You figot him send threat sey him a cut off the man head himself," the witness said. "Sey wah?" remarked City Puss, who is described as being the gang's second in command.

"Sey him ago cut off di 'G' head when him come a road; him a do it himself," the witness said. "Eh?" Christie said in disbelief. However, City Puss indicated that it was another gangster who goes by the name 'Dudus' who first made the threat.

The court had previously heard that Whitely was a street boy who was often seen begging in Spanish Town, St Catherine, and was recruited into the gang as a teenager. During the more than hour-long conversation, the trio expressed displeasure that some of the gangsters had 'switch up' and were 'styling' Bryan. They recalled how generous Bryan had been to the men unlike his predecessors. They remembered Bryan purchasing several pairs of shoes for the men as well as furniture on top of the cash that he provided.

City Puss, who labelled the 'backstabbers' as corrupt, reasoned that he had warned Bryan that he needed to deal with them in a cruel manner.

"Every time me a tell him sey 'yow fi wicked, yaa fi de wicked, dem ya p***y ya affi fraid,'" he said. "You caa deal wid dog like how you deal wid johncrow. A two different kind a b*******th specie dat. Dog walk and hold down him head and nyam rubbish and johncrow fly and hold dung him head and nyam rubbish." Christie agreed that Bryan was too sympathetic.

In supporting City Puss' argument that the men should be afraid of Bryan, she said "You just affi deal wid dem p***y ya crabit. Nuh care how you deal wid dem soft, dem ago always stab you inna yuh back. Nuh care how yuh deal wid dem pretty and nice dem ago f***k yuh up." The trial will continue today.
