Dancehall Queen Spice on Wednesday updated her fans about her medical condition which has been the cause of much discussion for more than one week.

"I suffered a damage hernia a few days ago that sent my body into sepsis, as a result I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery," Spice posted on Instagram, adding that she is "still recovering". Spice thanked "Jesus for saving my life" before acknowledging that she has been off social media mentally. She also refuted rumours that she had a heart attack and fell into a coma.

The in-demand entertainer was booked to perform in Cayman on November 25, however, that show has been postponed. The promoters, Start Di Fun Entertainment, announced the changes via Instagram on Tuesday.

"We regret to inform you that the Spice concert Tape Measure will be postponed for a later date. Please note that the event is not cancelled. There will only be a change of date which we will soon give an update of."

Addressing her upcoming shows, Spice wrote, "To all the promoters that has a confirmed booking with me please accept my humble apology. Cayman, I know you was up next, for 25th of this month however I'll see you at a later date. Any further information needed there's always a contact in my bio."

Spice's booking agent, Ray Alexander, could not speak to any other upcoming event for November or December, only saying that the artiste was "not booked for any shows in Jamaica" and he would continue to take instructions from his client.
